Feeling Kind of Stuck in Life?

Sometimes we just find ourselves feeling stuck, not feeling particularly good and not feeling particularly bad, just stuck in a bit of a rut, unmotivated, and uninspired. How do we pull ourselves out of the muck and the mire?

Let's start with acknowledging where we are, how we're feeling, and what has brought us to this point in time. Next, we might want to consider identifying our options to get unstuck, weigh them against reality, and then devise a plan of action.

Our plan of action could involve other people, their positive vibes, and encouragement; but be careful who you reach out to! You don't want to enlist the assistance of someone with a 'misery loves company' mentality, You want to seek support from people who believe in you, your potential, and your dreams.

Your personal board of directors might be a good start. Those are the 3-5 people in your life that you turn to for advice, or to share ideas with. They are people you trust on a variety of levels. Your personal board of directors always has your back and your best interest at heart without expectation of anything in return.

If you don't have a personal board of directors, you might want to start by developing one immediately. Take the time to think of those positive and supportive centers of influence in your life. Write them down, along with all of their contact information and feel free to reach out as needed.

Your plan of action may also involve trying something new, journaling, or asking yourself what you would do if time and money were no object. What would you do simply out of passion? This can be a tough and rather complicated question, so give yourself a little time to figure it out (7-10 days).

In the meantime, you've provided yourself a self development project that should be the beginning of feeling better; not to mention the bonus of self-discovery that will undoubtedly lead to positive and inspirational actions.

Have fun getting to know yourself, getting unstuck, and discovering your passion and purpose in life!
